BIOGRAPHY
My name is Bendik Kristiansen, and I am a freelancer within media. I have an University Admission Certification within media and communication studies where I specialized in photography and film at Akademiet High School, for three years. These years have been very useful in my further development of my media competence, and I consider myself to be a photographer, graphic designer, journalist and videographer.
This site is for me to show off my works within photography, graphic design, journalism and video. It is meant for potential schools, employers or clients. I am a perfectionist, and in my work I focus a great deal on details. In many of my works I often center around emotions, which comes from me using pathos as a main mean. I am positive, but fair, highly attentive to details and an overall thinker.
Now you might have seen some of my works. And yes, this is a big part of who I am. I am a bearded, Norwegian man at eighteen, who is genuinely interested with the most of which media holds. I grew up in Sykkylven, a municipality close to Ålesund, at the west coast of Norway. Among two older siblings, where my brother has been interested in photography, and my sister in makeup, I have probably been influenced by them. That has given me a better foundation of succeeding within the field of media. Still, I have enjoyed being original, and during my adolescence I was the only one in my circle of friends who was interested by media.
I am interested in learning more, and could find myself sitting a whole day working on my skills. In school, this have given me a lot of positive feedback from the teachers, and many of my products has been used as examples in other classes. I have good experience and high competence in Adobe-softwares from CS3 to CS6, such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro.
"I might as well just say it as it is: These are the most structured and neat Photoshop files I have ever received."
- Per Arne Sandvik, Teacher in Media Production, Akademiet VGS
My plans forward from here is to strengthen my portfolio, and in 2015 begin my Bachelor's degree. I am available at any time of the day, and you can always contact me by phone or email. To make it easier for both me and you, go to the contact page.
